The Housemaid
The Housemaid
106 min. 2010. Written and directed by Im Sang Soo.

Wed Sept 22: 6:30PM (MoMA)
Thurs Sept 23: 4:30PM (MoMA)
Fri Oct 1: 6:50PM (BAM)

What a house the maid has to clean: the film features the largest set ever built in Korea. But that’s the least of her worries. The family she has to serve demands attention in many ways, not all of them in her job description. This continuously surprising erotic melodrama about class and privilege—freely adapted from Kim Ki-young's 1960 film of the same title—features both a top notch cast and a climax that won’t be easily forgotten. New York Premiere.

With Jeon Do-yeon, Lee Jung-jae, Seo Woo, Yun Yeo-jung
