Jun Sub became a successful novelist by prescient portraits of Korean
families. Now, returning to the village of his youth to organize his
mother’s funeral, his own family comes to the fore. Estranged siblings
and cousins bristle at each other’s company and old resentments
re-emerge. The line between Jun’s fictions and his reality has never
been so hard to find.
