The Korea Society is proud to announce the dates and venues for this year's New York Korean Film Festival. Running from Tuesday, August 21 to Sunday, September 2, this seventh year will be our biggest yet!
15 16 contemporary films from Korea (full list coming soon below!)
- 4-film retrospective of master director Im Kwon-taek
- Tartan Asia Extreme presents Korean Horror Day - a collection of
7 8 films, courtesy of Tartan Asia

Director Kim Yong Hwa of 200-Pound Beauty will be the special guest of a Panel Discussion on Thursday, August 23 at 6:30 PM.
He will be joined by Michael Huh, vice president of marketing at ImaginAsian TV, and Robert Cagle, assistant professor of cinema studies at University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign, to discuss the Korean Wave and the future of Korean Pop Culture and where their industry is headed. Moderated by Samuel Jamier of The Korea Society.
