Going by the Book
바르게 살자
Going by the Book 바르게 살자
Starring Jeong Jae-young and Son Byung-ho
Directed by La Hee-chan
102 minutes, 2007
(U.S. Premiere)

Once a respected detective, Jung Do-man's "by-the-book" attitude—he would write his own boss a ticket—has gotten him busted down to the traffic division. When he is told to play the role of a bank robber in a police-training exercise, Jung's strict compliance with regulations takes a turn nobody saw coming. Based on Jang Jin's irreverent script, Going by the Book is a wry look at society's unwritten rules.
